The division of science refers to the departments of biology, chemistry, physics, geology, geography, and mathematics. Materials in this collection include correspondence, reports, financial information, minutes, brochures, lectures, programs, news releases, drawings, floor plans, development plans, grant information, and surveys.
Augustana College Social Committee records
The Augustana College Social Committee was organized in 1937, replacing the former Board of Control of Social Activities. The group claimed to "ignore organizational frontiers, including all students in its plans." The committee planned numerous all-school social events throughout the school year, including Halloween and Christmas parties as well as a Spring picnic. This collection contains the group's meeting minutes from 1937 to 1948.

Augustana College Student Volunteer Band meeting minutes
The Student Volunteer Band was a select group of possible missionaries. The group met often to discuss missionary activities, and to study current problems in mission fields. The collection includes the organization’s minutes.

Augustana College Summer School publicity materials
Augustana College first established a summer school program in 1916. The administration offered students the choice of three classes on the Rock Island campus. The program gradually expanded to a greater number of classes, as well as summer school classes in locations such as the Rocky Mountains, France, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. Materials in this collection include brochures and summer foreign term pamphlets.
Augustana College Swedish Club minutes
These records contain materials from the campus Swedish Club, which promoted Swedish language and culture. The collection consists of the clubs minutes for October 1945-August 1956.
Augustana College Swedish Institute records
The Augustana College Swedish Institute was an organization formed in 1940 in order to encourage the study of Swedish culture and the preservation of the historical heritage of the college. The Institute merged with the Augustana Historical Society in 1973. The records comprise correspondence, minutes, and membership and financial records.
